Pin Up Stocking Hanger Pattern #7085
Crocheted cover for a wire hanger with picot edging, flowers, hook cover, and a chain for plastic clothespins, worked in D-M-C Pearl Cotton Size 8. Originally published in DMC #405, Crochet Gifts and Bazaar Novelties.

Edging
Chain 382, 1 dc in 6th ch from hook, * ch 1, skip next ch, 1 dc in next ch; rpt from * across (189 sps).
(right side)—Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in first sp, * 1 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next sp; rpt from * across.
Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st across.
Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first sc, ch 3, 1 sc in last sc made (Picot made), * skip next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, a Picot; rpt from * across, fasten off.
Matching sts work same Edging on other side of foundation ch.
From right side, fold work on foundation ch, working thru both thicknesses, 2 sc in each sp across.
Ch 1, turn, rpt row 4 of Edging, fasten off.
Flowers
(Make 11)—Ch 8, join (with slip st) into ring, [Petal of 1 sc, 2 dc, 1 sc, ch 1] in ring 5 times, join (in first sc).
Ch 1, 1 sc in joining ch-1 sp, ch 3, * keeping ch in back of Petal, 1 sc in next sc between Petals, ch 3; rpt from * 3 times, join.
Ch 1, [1 sc, 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc] in each sp around, join, fasten off.
Cover For Hook
Ch 62, 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of 48 chs, 1 tr in each of 10 chs.
Ch 4, turn, 1 tr in 2nd tr, 1 tr in each of 8 tr, 1 dc in 49 dc, 1 dc in turning ch, fasten off.
Finishing
From right side, fold Edging over wire of hanger as shown, and stretch having the two ends meeting at base of hook, sew the ends together. Tack Edging together over wire. Fold Hook Cover over hook, having wider end at base of hook and sew together, sew to Edging at base. Sew one Flower over joining of Edging at base of hook, sew other Flowers in place as shown. Chain 30 inches, fasten off, string Clothespins on chain and attach as shown.
