Ch 154, dc in 4th st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next st, repeat from * to end of ch.

Sl st across 4 meshes, ch 4, dc in next mesh, * ch 1, dc in next mesh, repeat from * to within 4 meshes of end of row, ch 4, turn, (ch 4 at the beginning of each mesh row).

Work 1 mesh in each mesh.

Work 24 meshes, ch 40, turn, dc in 4th st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next st, repeat from * to end of ch and work a mesh in each mesh, this begins the right front yoke.

Work even meshes.

Ch 12, turn, dc in 4th st from hook, work 1 ch meshes on ch and continue meshes to end of row, break thread and work other front to correspond, do not break thread. Join underarm meshes and work beading, ch 3, 1 trc in mesh and next dc, * ch 3, skip 2 meshes, 1 trc in the next dc, mesh and dc, repeat from * across row. Ch 1, turn and work 1 sc in each trc and 3 sc over each ch 3.

Start half knot st. Ch 3, dc in next sc * half knot st, (pull up a ¼ inch loop on hook, thread over hook and pull through, sc into single strand of loop). 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, half knot st, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn.

Dc in dc, * half knot st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * across row and repeat 2nd row until knot st part of jacket measures 12 inches.

Ch 34, dc in 4th st from hook, * half knot st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * across row. Ch 3, turn and work 1 row even.

Increase 1 pattern at end of each row as follows, work 2 dc in 1st dc at end of row, half knot st, 2 dc in last dc. At the end of the last row, ch 8, break thread. Join thread at opposite end, ch 10, turn, dc in 4th st from hook, half knot st, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, half knot st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, continue pattern across row and work 2 patterns on ch, ch 3 turn and continue rows of pattern until sleeve measures 9 inches from underarm.

Work 1 sc in each dc and 1 sc over 2 long loops of knot st.

Ch 3, 1 trc in each of the 2 sc, * ch 3, skip 3 sc, 1 trc in each of the next 3 sc, repeat from * all around. Next row work 1 sc in each trc and 3 sc over each ch 3. Next row, * ch 12, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * all around ending last loop in 1st loop and work 6 more rows of 12 ch loops.

Join thread at lower edge of yoke and work a row of sc all around jacket easing in the back of neck to 5 inches. At lower edge work 1 sc in each dc and 2 sc in each knot st.

Begin ruffle at lower edge of yoke * ch 12, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * all around yoke and neck, in corners do not skip the 1 sc.

Ch 12, turn, sc in next loop, * ch 12, sc in next loop, repeat from * all around and repeat 2nd row twice.

Finish the knot st section of jacket as follows. Join thread at lower edge of yoke, 1 sc in each of the 1st 4 sc, * ch 4, sl st in top of last sc made for picot, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, repeat from * all around. Finish with ribbon as illustrated.
