Pattern instructions

Gladiola

Gladiola (Make 3)

Using White, work exactly as for Gladiola Curtain Tie-Back.

Bud

1st row

With White, ch 4, in 4th ch from hook make 2 dc and 1 tr. Ch 3, turn.

2nd row

Skip first tr, dec 1 dc, ch 3, sl st in top of decreased dc, ch 3, sl st in top of starting chain. Break off.

Stem And Calyx

Stem and Calyx (Make 5)

With Green make a chain 1½ inches long, tr in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in tr, ch 4, sl st in same place as tr, ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, ch 3, sl st in tr, ch 4, sl st in same place as tr, sl st in each ch across. Break off. Sew Bud to Calyx.

Stamen

Stamen (Make 3)

Work exactly as for Gladiola Curtain Tie-Back. Sew Stamens to center of flower. Starch lightly and press.

Assembly

Sew Flowers, Buds and Stems to garter.
