Christmas Doll with Red Dress Pattern

With Red work 1st 6 rows same as Blue and White dress, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each st, turn.

Ch 1, sc in next st, 1 sdc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, cut thread.

With wrong side of work toward you, skip 40 sts of 3rd row, attach Red in next st and work from the 4th to the 6th row of Blue and White dress, cut thread, turn.

Attach Red in 7th st, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts.

Ch 3, dc in next dc, 1 sdc in next dc, sc in next st, cut thread.

With Red work 1st 3 rows same as front section of Blue and White dress.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each st, turn.

Ch 1, sc in same space, sdc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, cut thread leaving a length for sewing.

Leave 14 sts free at center front for neck edge, attach Red in next st, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each st, turn.

Ch 3, dc in next dc, 1 sdc in next dc, sc in next st, cut thread leaving a length. Sew shoulder seams together. With Red work a row of sc around each armhole.

With right side of 1st row of bodice toward you, attach Red in 1st st of starting ch, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, * 2 dc in next dc, 3 dc in next dc, repeat from * across row, turn.

Work a double knot st (double knot st: * draw up about a 1/2 inch loop on hook, thread over and pull through ch, sc in single loop of st, repeat from * once), skip 1 st, sc in next st, repeat from beginning across row, turn.

Work 3 knot sts, sc in center sc of next double knot st, * double knot st, sc in center sc of next double knot st, repeat from * across row, turn.

Repeat last row 4 times or desired length.

* Draw up a 1/2 inch loop on hook, thread over and pull through ch, sc in single loop of st, sc in center sc of next double knot st, repeat from * across row. Cut thread. Sew last 7 rows of skirt together.

Attach Red in 1st row of bodice at opening, working toward neck edge, sc in same space, ch 5, 2 sc in next row, * ch 5, sc in next row, sc in next row, repeat from * once, ch 5, sc in end st, cut thread. Sew buttons in position on opposite side.

With Red ch 55, 5 dc in 4th st from hook, * dc in next st of ch, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * across ch, turn.

Same as 2nd row of skirt.

Same as last row of skirt, cut thread. Sew in position to neck edge.

With ribbon make a small bow and with "STAR" Six Strand Embroidery Cotton work about 11 French knots of various colors in center of bow. Take a 12 inch length of ribbon and tie around waist line of doll. Sew bow over Knot as illustrated. Make another small bow for hair and place in position.
