Crocheted Doll Dress, Panties, and Hat Pattern

Starting at lower edge of front bodice, with White chain (ch) 21, single crochet (sc) in 2nd stitch (st) from hook, sc in next st of ch, * ch 1, skip 1 st of ch, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * 5 times, ch 1, turn.

Skip 1st sc, 2 sc in next sc, * ch 1, skip next ch 1 and 1 sc, 2 sc in next sc (pattern), repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn. Repeat the 2nd row 4 times, ch 2 for sleeve, turn.

2 sc in 2nd st from hook (an increase), work across front in pattern working 2 sc in 1st sc of last pattern (an increase), ch 1, 2 sc in last sc of same pattern, ch 1, turn.

Work 2 rows even in pattern.

Work 3 patterns, ch 1, turn. Work 11 rows even in pattern.

Increase 1 pattern at end of row. Work 5 rows even, Cut thread.

Skip 3 patterns at neck front, attach thread in next pattern, work in pattern across row, ch 1, turn. Work 11 rows even in pattern.

Increase 1 pattern at beginning of row. Work 5 rows even, cut thread. Sew side seams for about 1/2 inch.

With right side of work toward you, attach thread in 1st st at waist and work 38 sc across waistline, ch 3, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, 1 double crochet (dc), 1 sc in next st, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, skip next dc, 1 dc, 1 sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn. Repeat the last row until skirt measures 2 1/2 inches, cut thread leaving an end. Thread into needle and sew skirt together at back to within 1/2 inch from waistline. With "STAR" MERCERIZED SEWING THREAD sew rick-rack around bottom of skirt, waistline, neckline and armholes.

Ch 42, dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each remaining st of ch, ch 3, turn.

1 dc in next dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, repeat from * across row ending last repeat with 1 dc in each of the last 2 sts, turn.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc, turn each row.

Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc, join each row, drop thread.

With a separate piece of thread, skip 9 dc, attach thread in next dc, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, cut thread leaving an end. Thread into needle, skip 19 dc, sew to next 4 dc, cut thread. Pick up dropped thread, * ch 2, slip stitch (sl st) in next st, repeat from * around leg. Finish other leg in same manner.

Place on doll and tie with ribbon to hold in position or finish with snap fastener if desired.

Ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 11 dc in ring, join in 3rd st of ch.

Ch 3, dc in same space, * 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * all around, join this and all following rounds.

Ch 3 and working in dc increase in every 3rd st.

Increase in every other st.

Increase in every 3rd st.

Increase in every 8th st.

Working through back loop of sts, work 1 dc in each dc.

Ch 3 and working through both loops of sts, work 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, decrease in next 2 sts (to decrease: * thread over hook, insert in next st, pull through and work off 2 loops, repeat from * once, thread over and work off all loops at one time), * 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, decrease in next 2 sts, repeat from * all around.

Ch 3, decrease in next 2 sts, * dc in next st, decrease in next 2 sts, repeat from * all around.

1 sc in each dc, cut thread at end of last round.

Sew a strip of rick-rack around top edge of hat and around band.
