Pattern instructions
Palm
Palm. Begin with Color A, ch 86 (to measure about 8½ inches) and join with sl st to form ring.
* Ch 4, skip 2 sts of foundation ch, 1 s c in next st, and repeat from * around (27 loops in all).
* Ch 4, 1 sc in next loop, and repeat from * around.
Ch 12, skip 7 loops (for thumb opening), 1 s c in 8th loop, * ch 4, 1 sc in next loop, and repeat from * around.
Over ch-12 of previous rnd, * skip 2 ch, 1 s c in next ch, ch 4, and repeat from * until 4 s c with ch-4 between are made over the ch-12. Then ** ch 4, 1 s c in next loop, and repeat from ** around.
Same as 2nd rnd.
Fingers
Fingers. Forefinger should be directly above thumb opening. Work across 4 loops from outside edge of finger, ch 5, cross over to back of glove and make 1 sc in 4th loop from outside edge, then * ch 4, 1 sc in next loop, and repeat from * until there are about 16 rnds. Try on, and if too short, continue working till length desired. It is better not to have the fingers too long. Draw top together and finish off.
Attach thread to bottom of forefinger at palm side of glove and work across 3 loops, ch 5, cross over to back of glove and make 1 s c in 3rd loop from forefinger. Work across these 3 loops, then over loop between fingers and continue around until there are about 18 rnds. Finish off as before.
Attach thread to bottom of middle finger at palm side, and work as for middle finger until there are about 15 rnds. Finish off as before.
Attach thread and work around until there are about 13 rnds. Finish off as before.
Attach thread and work around thumb opening until there are about 14 rnds (11 loops in a rnd). Finish off.
Cuff
Cuff. Use thread double for entire cuff.
Attach color B, at wrist part of glove, and make 2 sc in each sp on the foundation ch (58 s c in rnd).
1 sc in each sc of previous rnd, working around. Then break off.
Attach color A. * Ch 3, skip 1 s c of previous rnd, 1 sc in next sc, and repeat from * around cuff (29 ch-3 loops in rnd).
* Ch 3, 1 sc in next loop, and repeat from * around. Break off.
Attach color B, * 2 sc in next loop, 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next loop, skip next s c, and repeat from * around (59 sc in rnd).
1 s c in each sc of previous rnd, increasing enough sc to have 79 s c in 15th rnd.
Attach color A and work as for 6th rnd, making 39 ch-3 loops in rnd.
Same as 7th rnd. Break off.
Attach color B and work as for 11th rnd (95 sc in rnd).
Same as 12th rnd, but do not break off.
Ch 4 (to count as 1 dc and ch 1), skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, and repeat from * until there are 6 sps (6 dc), turn.
1 sc over last ch-1, ch 4 (to count as 1 dc and ch-1) * skip next dc of previous row, 1 dc over next ch-1, ch 1, and repeat from * until there are 5 sps (5 dc). Turn.
Same as 29th row, only decrease 1 sp on each row, thus having 1 sp left on 33rd row. Break off. This completes one point. Make 6 more points same as one just finished by repeating 28th to 33rd rows incl, but leaving 1 s c between two points.
Attach color A to top of last dc of 1st row of any point (28th row), make 1 sc in last sp, then 1 dc in same sp as last dc of point, 1 dc in next sc, then 1 dc in next sc (which is the same place as the 1st dc of the next point). Sl st into top of this row of the 2nd point, then make 1 sc into 1st sp, ch 3, and sl st to top of next row.
* Turn, make 1 dc in 1st sp of previous row, 1 dc in each dc of color A, 1 dc in last sp of previous row of 1st point, sl st to top of same row of 1st point, make 1 sc in sp of same row, then ch 3 and sl st to top of next row. Repeat from *, thus filling in the spaces between the points. When color A is even with the top of the points (row 33), break off and fill in the next 6 sps. Do not break off when the last space is filled.
Ch 3, 1 dc in each st to end of rnd. Join with sl st.
* 1 sc in each of next 4 dc, ch 3 (for a p), and repeat from * to end of rnd. Break off. Follow same directions for making other glove, but reverse the position of the fingers.
