Materials Required— AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" PEARL COTTON, Size 5. 4-60 Yd. Balls White. 5-60 Yd. Balls No. 1232 Royal Blue or any color desired. Steel Crochet Hook No. 4 or 5.

Scarf

1st row

With Color, make a chain about 48 in. or the length desired, turn and work 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in next ch, * 1 dc in each of the next 2 chs, 1 sc in each of the next 2 chs, repeat from * across row ending with 2 dc, ch 1, turn.

2nd Row

2nd Row. * 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, repeat from * across row and work 1 more row in blue working the 2 dc over the 2 sc and the 2 sc over the 2 dc.

Color stripes

Attach White and work 2 rows, then work 2 rows Blue, 4 rows White, 2 rows Blue, 2 rows White, 4 rows Blue (center), 2 rows White, 2 rows Blue, 4 rows White, 2 rows Blue, 2 rows White, 3 rows Blue.

Border

With Blue work a row of sc across each end.
