Gauge — 3chains =1linch

Row 1—1S.C. in 8th chain from hook, *ch5,1S.C. in 4th ch, * repeat from * to end. (25, 29, 33 large holes & ¥2 hole)

Row 2 —Ch5, turn, 1S.C. inhole, * Ch5,1S.C. in hole, repeat from * to end.

Piece will measure about 35, 40, 45 inches wide.

Repeat row 2 for pattern.

Work even for 27 rows which is 16 inches, or 1" less than desired length to underarm.

ARMHOLES:

Right Front, Row 1 — Ch 3, turn, 1S.C. in hole, work across 4, 5, 6spaces.

Row 2, 3, and 4 — Ch5, turn, 1 S.C. in hole, work in pattern across 3, 4, 5 spaces.

Row 5 — Ch 3, turn, 1S.C.inhole, work across 3, 4,5 spaces.

Row 6 — 14—Ch5, turn, 1S.C. inhole, work across 2, 3, 4 spaces.

Row 15 — Ch5,1S.C. in hole, *ch3,1S.C. inhole, repeat from * 1,2, 3 times. To end last stitch, put ball of yarn through the last stitch. Cut, leaving a 20" tail.

Left Front — Attach yarnintop of 5, 6, 7thS.C. in from front edge.

Row 1— Chain 5, S.C. inhole, work across 4, 5, 6, spaces.

Work rows | — 13 of right front. Work row 15 of right front.

BACK: Attach yarn in top of S.C. three full spaces in from left front.

Row 1 — 14—Ch5,1S.C. in space, work across 10, 12, 14 spaces.

Row 15 —Ch5,1S.C. in space, ch3,1S.C.inspace, *ch3, 1S.C. in space, repeat from * across row.

Sew shoulder seams. Work 1 row S.C. around piece.

Weave in all loose ends. Make a chain of desired length.
