Starting at one end with Dk. Yellow and No. 7 hook, ch 12.

Sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch 2, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch) 5 times. Ch 2, turn.

2 sc in first sp, (ch 2, 2 sc in next sp) 4 times. Ch 2, turn. Repeat 2nd row until piece is length of hanger.

Sc in first sp, (ch 1, sc in next sp) 4 times. Break off. Slip hook of hanger through a sp at center. Sew securely around hanger. Wind thread tightly around hook and sew ends securely.

Starting at bottom of Calyx with Green and No. 14 hook, ch 2.

6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2 sc in each sc around.

* 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around (16 sc).

Sc in each sc around. Join and break off at end of 8th rnd.

Attach Purple to any sc on Calyx, 2 sc in same place, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc. Ch 1, turn.

2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.

Work off 2 sc as 1 sc (1 sc decreased), sc in each sc across to within last 2 sc, dec 1 sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 5th row until all sc's have been worked off. Break off.

Attach thread to next free sc on Calyx and work as for First Petal. Complete other petals the same way.

Starting at bottom with Rose, ch 9.

Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.

2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Break off at end of 11th row. Sew petals to center of Calyx, overlapping to form bud.

Attach Yellow to center of bud, ch 25, sl st in 5th ch from hook. Break off. Make 3 more Stamens the same way.

Attach Green to end of Calyx, make a chain 3 inches long, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st in Calyx. Break off.

Make 6 more flowers in same manner, having two more 3-inch Stems, one 2½-inch Stem, two 2-inch Stems and one 1½-inch Stem. Starch flowers heavily and press to shape. Sew to hanger. Tie ribbon into bow around hook.
