Pattern instructions
Flower Center
FLOWER—Center... Starting at center with White, ch 2.
1st rnd: 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join.
2nd rnd: Sc in each sc around. Join.
3rd rnd: Sc in first sc, * ch 10, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, half dc in next ch, dc in next 3 ch, half dc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next ch, sc in next sc on center. Repeat from * around. Join and break off (5 points).
Petals
PETALS ... Starting at center with Purple, ch 2.
1st rnd: 10 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join.
2nd rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
3rd rnd: In each loop around make sc, half dc, dc, tr, 7 Ctr, tr, dc, half dc and sc. Join and break off.
Stamen
STAMEN ... With Orange, ch 5. 1st rnd: Sc in 5th ch from hook, (ch 4, sc in same ch) 3 times. Join and break off.
Sew White Center to petals. Sew Stamen in place. Sew a pearl bead to center of Stamen.
Flowers And Band
Make 2 more Purple flowers the same way.
Make 4 Beauty Rose flowers, having centers White and Stamens Orange as before. Make 2 Dk. Lavender flowers the same way.
Sew flowers evenly across wide piece of velvet.
Cut narrow piece of velvet in half and sew a piece to each end of wide band for ties.
