Holly Wreath Doily Pattern
Holly leaves and berries worked and joined around a basic doily center for a wreath-style doily in green, red, and white.

Leaf
With Green starting at lower edge, ch 3, 2 dc in 3rd st from hook, ch 3, turn.
Dc in same space, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next st, ch 3, turn.
2 dc in same space, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 3 dc in end st, ch 3, turn.
1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in next st of ch, 1 dc in each of the next 8 dc, 3 dc in next st, ch 1, turn.
Sl st in each of the next 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, turn.
2 dc in same space, 1 dc in each of the next 11 dc, 2 dc in next st, ch 3, turn.
1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in next st of ch, 1 dc in each of the next 11 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, turn.

Basic Doily No 1 Joining
Attach White in any sc of last row of center, ch 4, 2 trc in same space keeping last loop of each trc on hook, thread over and pull through all loops at one time, ch 3, sl st in top of cluster st for picot, ch 4, sc in next loop, ch 1 and with 5 point side of leaf towards center, sl st in 1st point of leaf from lower edge, ch 1, sl st in same sc on center, * ch 4, trc cluster st in next sc on center, (trc cluster st: 3 trc in same space keeping last loop of each trc on hook, thread over and pull through all loops at one time), ch 3, sl st in top of cluster st for picot, ch 4, sc in next loop on center, ch 1, sl st in next point of same leaf, ch 1, sl st in same sc on center, repeat from * once, ch 4, trc cluster st in next sc on center, picot, ch 4, sc in next loop, picot, ch 4, trc cluster st in next sc, picot, ch 4, sc in next loop, ch 1, sl st in 1st point from lower edge of next leaf, ch 1, sl st in same sc on center, repeat from 1st * until all leaves are joined, break thread.
Berry
With Red ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd st from hook, without joining rows, work 2 sc in each sc.
1 sc in each sc.
1 sc in next sc, decrease in next 2 sts (to decrease: * insert hook in next st, pull loop through, repeat from *, thread over and pull through all loops at one time), repeat from beginning all around. Fill with cotton or Red yarn, then decrease every other st until 3 sts remain, draw together, break thread leaving an end. Work 11 more berries in same manner and sew in position as illustrated.
Basic Center No 2 Joining
Work 10 leaves same as for basic center No. 1 joining to center as follows: attach White in 1st dc of any dc group, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, ch 1, join in 1st point from lower edge of leaf always having the 5 point side of leaf next to center, * ch 1, dc in same space on center, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 3, sl st in next point of same leaf, ch 3, sc in next loop on center, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, ch 1, sl st in next point of same leaf, ch 1, dc in same space on center, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 7, sl st in 4th st from hook for picot, ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 3, 1 sc in each of the next 4 dc, ch 1, sl st in 1st point from lower edge of next leaf, repeat from * until all leaves are joined, break thread. Work 20 berries same as for Basic Center No. 1 and sew in position between leaves as illustrated catching the lower edge of leaf and next free point of previous leaf when sewing.
