ATERIALS: For best results use— Clark's O.N.T. or J & P. Coats Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30: Small Ball: Clark's O.N.T.—5 balls of White or Ecru, or 7 balls of any color. or J, & P. Coats—4 balls of White or Ecru, or 5 balls of any color. Big Ball: Clark's O.N.T.—2 balls of White or Ecru. or J.& P. coats—2 balls of White or Ecru, or 3 balls of any color.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 10 or 11. Completed runner measures about 11' x 23 inches. Gauge: Motif measures about 3 inches in diameter.
First Motif
FIRST MOTIF... Starting at center, ch 10, join with sl st.
Ist rnd: 24scinring; join.
2nd rnd: Ch 4(to count as dc and ch-1),*dcinnextsc, ch]. Repeat from * around; join (24 sps).
3rd rnd: Scinslst,*scinnextsp,scinnextdc. Repeat from * around: join.
4th rnd: Scineachsc:; join.
5th rnd: * Chl0O, skip 3sc,scinnextsc. Repeat from * around (12 loops).
6th rnd: 13scineachloop.
7thrnd: Sl stin4dsc,scinnextsc,ch5(to count astrandch-l), trin next 4s c with ch-1 between each tr; * skip 4s. con this loop and4sconnext loop, trinnext 5scwithch-1 between each tr. Repeat from * around. Join to 4th st of ch-5.
