ATERIALS: For best results use— Clark's O.N.T. or J. & P. Coats Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30: Small Ball: Clark's O.N.T.—4 balls of White or Ecru, or 6 balls of any color. or J. & P. COATS—3 balls of White or Ecru, or 4 balls of any color. Big Ball: Clark's O.N.T.—2 balls of White or Ecru. or J. & P. COATS—2 balls of White, Ecru, or any color. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 10.

Completed runner measures about 122 x 25 inches. Gauge: 5sps make 1inch; 5 rows make linch.
Runner
Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain 15 inches long (15 chsts to linch).
Ist row: Dcin 8thch from hook; (ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 10 times—11 sps made. * Dcin next 15 ch(5 bls made). Make 7 sps. Repeat from * 2 more times; 5 bis, 11 sps. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn.
2nd row: Dcinnextdc(sp);2dcinnextsp,dcinnextdc —bIl made over sp; make 9 bls over next 9 sps, * 5 sps, 7 bls. Repeat from * 2 more times, 5 sps, 10 bis, 1 sp. Ch 5, turn.
Starting at 3rd row, follow chart until 11th row is completed. Ch 3, turn.
12th row: Dcinnext2ch,dcin next dc(1bl);1sp,1bl, 4sps, and follow chart to end of row.
Starting at 13th row, follow chart to top (63rd row— center of runner). Then reverse design and work back from 62nd row to Ist row. Fasten off.
