Napkin Holder Cover Pattern
Crocheted napkin holder cover in White, Shaded Yellows, and Kelly Green with shell rounds and a casing, sized for a 5-inch diameter napkin holder. First 11 rounds worked same as Large Doily Pattern. Originally published in Suggestions for Fairs and Bazaars.

Pattern instructions
Cover
Work 1st 11 rounds same as Large Doily Pattern.
Attach White in ch 3 at point, ch 3, dc in same space, * ch 1, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell) in next ch 3 loop, repeat from * all around, ch 1, join.
Attach Green in center of shell, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 5 dc in same space, ch 1, sc in ch 1 between shells, * ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in center of next shell, ch 1, sc in ch 1 between shells, repeat from * all around, ch 1, join, cut thread.
Attach Shaded Yellows in any sc, * ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 3 dc of next shell, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc in center of shell, 1 sc in each of the next 3 dc of same shell, ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * all around, join, cut thread.
Casing
With wrong side of work toward you, attach White between shells of 12th round, * ch 7, sc in ch 1 between next 2 shells, repeat from * to within the last 6 shells, turn.
Sl st to center of loop, * ch 7, sc in next loop, repeat from * to same space as opposite side, turn.
Same as last row but having 5 chs in each loop, cut thread. Work another section in same manner.
