Starting

Ch 17, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st of ch, ch 5, turn.

2nd Row

2nd Row-Dc in 1st sc, * skip 2 sc, in next sc work 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc (shell), repeat from * 3 times, skip 2 sc, dc in end sc, ch 5, turn.

3rd Row

3rd Row-Dc in space between next 2 dc, * skip the ch 3 loop, shell in space between next 2 dc, repeat from * 3 times, dc in 3rd st of end ch, ch 5, turn. Repeat last row until work measures 26 inches from beginning or desired length, ch 1 to turn at end of last row.

Next Row

Next Row-Sc in 1st dc, skip next dc, 2 sc in next loop, * sc in next dc, skip next dc, 2 sc in next loop, repeat from * twice, sc in next dc, 2 dc in end loop, cut thread.

Finishing

FINISHING-Cut buckram same size as belt. Cover entire piece of buckram with lining material. With "STAR" Mercerized Sewing Thread sew seams. Overcast lining to belt. Sew hooks and eyes to short ends of belt on the wrong side. Sew a row of pearls close together at each end of belt. * Sew 3 pearls evenly spaced on next row, 2 pearls evenly spaced on next row, repeat from * across belt ending with a row of 3 pearls.
