With Pink, ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 4, 2 trc in ring, ch 3, 3 trc in ring, ch 15, 3 trc, ch 3, 3 trc in ring, ch 6, turn. 2nd Row—1 trc, ch 3, 3 trc (shell) in ch 3 loop, ch 5, 19 sc over the ch 15 loop, ch 5, 3 trc, ch 3, 3 trc in next ch 3 loop, ch 6, turn. 3rd Row—Shell in center of shell, ch 8, 1 trc in 1st sc, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, trc in next sc, repeat from * 8 times, ch 8, shell in center of next shell, ch 6, turn. 4th Row—Shell in center of shell, ch 8, sc in 1st trc of pineapple, * sc in next ch 1 space, sc in next trc, repeat from * 8 times, ch 8, shell in center of shell, ch 6, turn. 5th Row—Shell in shell, ch 8, trc in 1st sc, * ch 1, trc in next sc, repeat from * 17 times, ch 8, shell in center of next shell, ch 6, turn. 6th Row—Shell in shell, ch 8, sc in 1st trc of pineapple, * sc in next ch 1 space, sc in next trc, repeat from * 17 times, ch 8, shell in next shell, ch 6, turn. 7th Row—Shell in shell, ch 8, sc in 1st sc, * ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * 17 times, ch 8, shell in next shell, ch 6, turn. 8th Row—Shell in shell, ch 8, sc in 1st ch 5 loop of pineapple, * ch 5, sc in next loop, repeat from * 16 times, ch 8, shell in next shell, ch 6, turn. Repeat the last row 16 times having 1 loop less in pineapple in each row until 1 loop remains, ch 6, turn. Next Row—Shell in shell, ch 8, sc in remaining loop of pineapple, ch 8, 3 trc in center of next shell, ch 1, turn, sc in center of last shell made, ch, turn, 3 trc in same space to complete last shell, ch 6, turn, sc in same space where last 2 shells are joined, cut thread. Work another section in same manner.

Cut lining same shape as sections. With "STAR" MERCERIZED SEWING THREAD sew about ¼ inch from edge leaving opening at top. Fill with kapok and sew remainder of cushion.

EDGE—Attach Pink in any ch 6 loop and working through both sections, ch 4, 2 trc, ch 3, 3 trc in same space, * ch 3, 3 trc, ch 3, 3 trc in next ch 6 loop, repeat from * all around inserting cushion after joining 1 side, ch 3, join in 4th st of ch, cut Pink. Attach White in center of shell, ch 6, trc in same space, ch 2, trc in same space, ch 2, trc in same space, * ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 3, 4 trc with ch 2 between each trc in center of next shell, repeat from * all around ending with ch 3, sc in next loop, ch 3, join in 4th st of ch, cut White. Next Row—Attach Pink in sc, ** ch 4, sc between 1st 2 trc, * ch 4, sl st in 3rd st from hook for picot, ch 1, sc between next 2 trc, repeat from * once, ch 4, sc in next sc, repeat from ** all around, cut thread.

Trim with ribbon as follows: starting at top, place ribbon under the ch 8 loops around entire cushion having the wrong side of ribbon toward you, pull up a 2 inch loop between each ch, then holding cushion with outside edge toward you working from back of loop, turn 1st loop of ribbon right side out and lay ribbon down toward the outside edge of cushion, pick up the next loop before it is turned and draw ribbon gently until 1st loop forms a point, continue forming a point in each loop of ribbon all around. Finish with ribbon bow.
