Repeat 4th to 8th rows incl. 8 more times; then repeat 4th and 5th rows once more. Piece should measure 13 inches. Sew short ends together neatly.

Attach thread at joining of Beading.

Working along edge of Beading, * ch 9, skip 1 bar, sc in next bar, (ch 5, sc in next bar) 6 times; ch 9, skip 1 bar, sc in next bar. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st where thread was attached.

Repeat 17th and 18th rnds. Fasten off.

Attach thread at joining and working along remaining edge of Beading, repeat 1st to 6th rows incl. of Lower Part. Fasten off.

Wind seam tape around both 13-inch top and 26-inch bottom of frame. Pin wide ribbon around lower edge. Pin darts in ribbon around top to fit frame, graduating them to nothing at bottom. Sew darts and press flat. Sew upper and lower edges of lining to seam tape. Dip crocheted piece in heavy starch, press and slip over covered frame. Tack in place. Shape Upper Part with fingers and allow to dry thoroughly. Run narrow ribbon through Beading and tie in bow. Make and finish other lampshade in same way.
