Pattern instructions
Side Piece
(Make 2) ... Starting at lower edge with Spanish Red, ch 80 to measure 11½ inches.
Tr in 5th ch from hook, tr in each ch across. Ch 4, turn.
Skip first tr, tr in each tr across. Ch 4, turn.
Repeat 2nd row until piece measures 4½ inches.
Dec 1 st at both ends of next 3 rows—to dec 1 st, work off 2 sts as 1 st. Dec 2 sts at both ends of next row. Break off.
Gusset
Starting at lower edge, ch 40 to measure 5½ inches.
Work as for side piece without decreasing until piece measures 19½ inches. Break off.
Weaving
With right side facing and single strand of Dk. Yellow, weave over first tr, * under 2 tr, over 2 tr. Repeat from * across.
In same tr row, weave under first tr, * over 2 tr, under 2 tr. Repeat from * across.
Repeat Step 2.
Repeat Step 1.
Repeat first Weaving Row until all tr rows are woven. (Be careful to keep continuity of pattern on decrease rows).
With Spanish Red and right side facing, sc around side and top edges of both side pieces. Sc across long edges of gusset.
Holding side pieces and gusset together and working through both thicknesses, sc around side and top edges with Spanish Red. With Spanish Red sc around lower edge. Join and break off.
