Dress Skirt

Foundation

With White ch 39, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st of ch, ch 1, turn.

2nd Row

1 sc in each sc, ch 4, turn.

3rd Row

1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next sc, * ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next sc, repeat from * across row, ending row with ch 1, dc in last sc, ch 4, turn.

4th Row

1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next dc, * ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next dc, repeat from * across row, ending row with ch 1, 1 dc in 3rd st of ch, ch 3, turn.

5th Row

* 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next dc, repeat from * across row, ending row with 1 dc in 3rd st of ch, join to 3rd st of ch at beginning of row.

6th Round

Ch 5, dc in same space, * 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next ch 2 loop, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch.

7th and 8th Rounds

Sl st into loop, ch 5, dc in same space, * 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next ch 2 loop, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch, cut thread.

Buttercup Edge

Attach Buttercup in ch 2 loop, sc in same space, ch 3, sc in same space, 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc, * 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next loop, 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * all around, join, cut thread.

Bodice

Foundation

Attach White in 1st st of starting ch, ch 3 and work 1 dc in each st, ch 3, turn.

2nd Row

1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * across row, ending row with 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, ch 3, turn.

3rd Row

1 dc in each st, ch 3, turn.

4th Row

1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, ch 10, skip 5 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 19 dc, ch 10, skip 5 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 sts, cut thread.

Edging

Attach Buttercup in 1st row of bodice on left hand side and work a row of sc up back opening of bodice, then working rather tightly, work 1 sc in each dc and each st of ch around neck, working in sc down opposite side of bodice, cut thread.

Panties

Foundation

With Buttercup, ch 38 rather loosely to fit around waist line, dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each remaining st of ch, ch 3, turn.

2nd Row

1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * across row, ending with 1 dc in each of the last 2 sts, join in 3rd st of ch.

3rd and 4th Rows

Ch 3 and work 1 dc in each st, join.

5th Row

* Ch 3, sc in next dc, repeat from * 8 times, ch 3, skip 21 dc, sc in next dc, * ch 3, sc in next dc, repeat from * 10 times, join, cut thread.

Crotch

Attach thread in next dc at crotch, * ch 3, sc in next dc, repeat from * 19 times, cut thread.

Waistline Edging

Attach thread at waistline and work 1 sc in each st of starting ch, then work a row of sc around side opening, cut thread.

Finishing

Place on doll and tie with ribbon at side. Lace dress up the back with ribbon.

Head Piece

Foundation

Cut a 4 inch length of covered spool wire. Twist together for about 1 inch so it will not separate. With Buttercup work a row of sc around entire wire (about 54 sc).

2nd Row

* Ch 3, skip 2 sc, cluster st in next sc (cluster st: 3 dc in same space leaving last loop of each dc on hook, thread over and pull through all loops at one time), ch 3, sl st in top of cluster st for picot, ch 3, skip 2 sc, sl st in next sc, repeat from * all around, cut thread. Attach thread on opposite side of wire and work the 2nd row in same manner, cut thread. Sew tiny feather to head piece as illustrated.
