Two Tone Shorties Pattern #4820

Directions are given for a medium size (6-7). For a larger size, use a larger crochet hook.

Left Glove. With Red, ch 78, sc in 2nd st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st of ch, sc in next st, repeat from * to end of row, ch 1, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, (pattern) repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.

Work in pattern across row working a pattern in ch 3 at end of row, (an increase) ch 2, turn.

Skip 1st sc, sc in next sc, work in pattern across remainder of row, ch 1, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * 24 times, ch 31 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row and continue in pattern down remainder of row.

Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rows.

Work in pattern across row, ch 2, turn.

Same as 5th row.

Same as 6th row but ch 36 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row and continue in pattern down remainder of row.

Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 12th and 13th rows.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * 24 times, ch 31 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row, then work 8 patterns on palm of glove, ch 27 for thumb, turn and work on ch same as 1st row and continue in pattern down remainder of row, ch 3, turn.

Repeat 2nd row, then repeat 4th row.

Skip 1st sc and work in pattern down remainder of row working a pattern in ch 3 at end of row, ch 2, turn.

Skip 1st sc and work in pattern down remainder of row, ch 2, turn.

Repeat last row, then skip 1st sc and work in pattern down thumb only, break thread.

With Red, ch 28 for other half of thumb, sc in sc on palm of glove at inside base of thumb section first completed and work in pattern down palm, ch 1, turn.

Work in pattern down palm of glove and work across ch same as other fingers, ch 3, turn.

Repeat 3rd, 4th, 5th, 12th and 13th rows, then work 2 rows even in pattern, turn and work a row of pattern across side of glove, up and down each section of thumb, up and down each finger and down other side of glove, break thread.

Back of Glove. With White, ch 78 and work a row of pattern, ch 3, turn.

2 dc in same space, skip next sc, sc in next sc, * ch 3, 2 dc in same space, skip next sc, sc in next sc, (shell) repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn.

2 dc in same space, sc in 3 ch loop of shell in previous row, * ch 3, 2 dc in same space, sc in next 3 ch loop of next shell, repeat from * across row, ch 2, turn.

Sdc in next sc, (sdc: thread on needle, insert in space, pull through and work off all loops at 1 time) 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc, sc in 3 ch loop, repeat from beginning across row, ch 1, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * 24 times, then ch 31 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row, ch 3, turn.

Repeat 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows.

Same as 5th row but decrease last sc.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * 24 times, then ch 36 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row, ch 3, turn.

Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 10th rows.

Sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * 24 times, then ch 31 for next finger, turn and work on ch same as 1st row, ch 3, turn.

Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 10th rows, turn and work a row of pattern down side, around each finger and down opposite side, break thread.

Fold thumb to the left and with Red crochet the 2 sections of thumb together using same pattern st, break thread.

With Red, holding the 2 sections together and having the back of glove toward you, crochet the 2 sections together in pattern st, break thread.

Right Glove. Work same as left glove, but fold thumb in opposite direction when joining sections together.
