Tyrolean scarf with neck band and shaped tie-ends in Clark's O.N.T. Knitting and Crochet Cotton or J. & P. Coats Crochet Cord. Originally published in Spool Cotton #35, Handmade Sports Wear.

Materials: Clark's O.N.T. Knitting and Crochet Cotton, 1 ball 26 Nile Green and 1 ball 106 Sport Green; or use J. & P. Coats Crochet Cord, 3 balls of each color. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 4. See other color combinations as for Tyrolean Hat No. 32.
Neck Band
Neck Band. With Sport Green, ch 92, turn.
1st row: Sc in 3rd ch from hook, and 1 sc in each st of foundation ch. Ch 2, turn.
2nd row: 1 sc in each sc of previous row. Do not break off. Attach Nile Green, ch 2, turn.
3rd row: * Make half dc in each of next 2 sts of previous row, half dc in next st of 1st row (thus working over sc of previous row). Repeat from * to end of row.
4th row: 1 sl st in each st of previous row. With Sport Green ch 2, turn.
5th row: Make 1 sc in each st picking up 2 back loops only.
6th to 42nd rows incl: Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rows in order. Break off. Note that neck band is worked lengthwise and tie-ends crosswise.
Tie Ends
Tie-Ends. 1st row: Attach Sport Green and make 34 sc on end of neck band, spacing evenly.
2nd to 43rd rows incl: Repeat 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rows of neck band in order.
44th to 108th rows incl: Increase 1 st at beginning and end of every 4th row.
109th to 133rd rows incl: Decrease 1 st at beginning and end of each row. Break off and work other tie-end.
