Body
With Lt. Blue make a ch about 50 inches long, work 1st dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each st until work measures 45 inches (cut off remaining chs) ch 3, turn.
2nd Row—Yarn over, insert in next dc and pull up the length of a dc, * yarn over, insert in same space and pull up the same length, repeat from * yarn over and pull through all loops but 1, yarn over and work off 2 loops, dc in next dc, repeat from beginning, across row.
These 2 rows are repeated for entire Afghan in the following color scheme. 5 rows Lt. Blue, 3 rows White, 3 rows Lt. Blue, 3 rows White, 9 rows Lt. Blue, 3 rows White, 5 rows Lt. Blue, 3 rows White, 5 rows Lt. Blue. This is the center stripe, work other half to correspond.
Edging
EDGE. With Blue, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, skip the length of a dc and work 1 sc, continue shells all around.
This Afghan will be equally attractive made with "Dawn" Knitting Worsted.
