With color form a 1/2 inch loop on hook, yarn over and pull through ch, sc in single loop of st, * draw a 1/2 inch loop on hook, yarn over and pull through loop, sc over single loop of st, repeat from * until work measures about 30 inches, turn.

2nd Row. Sc over double loop of 3rd knot st from hook, * draw a 1/2 inch loop on hook, yarn over and pull through, sc over single loop of st just made, sc over double loop of next st, repeat from * across row, turn.

3rd Row. Draw a 1/2 inch loop on hook, yarn over and pull through, sc over single loop of st just made, sc over 2 loops of st in previous row, * draw a 1/2 inch loop on hook, yarn over and pull through ch, sc over single loop of st just made, sc over 2 loops of next st in previous row, repeat from * across row and repeat 3rd row until work is square.

The border is worked in same st increasing 1 knot st at corners and turning each row. Work 2 rows White, 1 row Color, 2 row White, 1 row Color, 2 rows White and 3 rows Color.
