COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED-CRO- SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C.44: 1 ball of No. 25 Crystal Blue; and J.& P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN" METALLIC, Art. A.64: 1 ball of No.M.76 Robinette. Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero). Bone ring...Blue felt. Use 1 strand each of "Speed-Cro-Sheen" and "Knit-Cro-Sheen" Metallic together throughout.
Potholder
Starting at one end, make a chain 8 inches long. 1st row: 2 half dc in 3rd ch from hook, * skip 1 ch, 2 half dc in next ch. Repeat from * across until row measures 6 1/2 inches. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 2, turn.
2nd row: Skip first 2 half dc, make 2 half dc in each sp across, ending with 2 half dc in sp between last 2 half dc and turning chain. Ch 2, turn. Repeat 2nd row until piece is square. Sc closely around 4 sides, making 3 sc in each corner. Join and break off.
Finishing
Line with felt. Sc closely around bone ring. Sew in place.
