COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED- CRO-SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C.44: 1 ball each of No. 1 White and No. 12 Black. Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero). Sequins and beads...Bone ring.

Center

1st rnd

Starting at Center with White, ch 2. 1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd rnd

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around.

3rd rnd

3rd rnd: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased). Repeat from * around.

4th rnd

4th rnd: Sc in each sc, increasing 6 sc evenly around.

Repeat 4th rnd

Repeat 4th rnd until piece measures 5 inches in diameter. Sl st in next sc. Break off.

Spokes

1st rnd

SPOKES...With Black, ch 2. 1st rnd: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd rnd

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around.

3rd rnd

3rd rnd: * Make a chain to measure 2 inches, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, sc in next 2 sc on Center. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

Assembly

Attach spokes

Pin spokes in place on Center, spacing evenly over sc's. Attach Black to any sc between 2 spokes, * sc in each sc to next spoke, sc through end of spoke and next sc on Center. Repeat from * around.

Outer rounds

Now sc in each sc around, increasing 6 sc on each rnd, until piece measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter. Join and break off.

Second piece

Make another piece the same way.

Finishing

Sew spokes and hub in place. Sew sequins at tip of each spoke and at center of hub. Sew pieces together. Sew bone ring in place.
