Buffet Scarf Pattern #6

MATERIALS—DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, size 50:—3-balls or 2 skeins White, Cream or Ecru (sufficient for a scarf 14" x 36"). Crochet hook size 13.

BLOCK—(Size—5'2" square)—Ch 8, trin Ist st, * ch 5, (tr, ch 2, tr) allinsame st. Repeat from * twice. Ch 2, dc in 5th st of Ist ch-7 lo.

ROW 2—Ch 10, turn, (dc in next tr, 2 dc in next sp, dc intr, ch 5, trin 3d ch of corner |p, ch 5) repeated around. Make final ch-5, sl stin 5th st of Ist ch-10.

ROW 3—Ch 3, turn, * 5 dcin next ch-5 sp, dein next dc, ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc innext dc, 5 dc innext ch-5 sp, (dc ch 5, dc) allin next tr. Repeat from * around. End with 1 dcincornertr, ch2, dcintop of Ist ch-3.

ROW 4—Ch 3, turn, 2 dc inlast ch-2 sp, * dc innext 7 dc, ch 2, dc in next 7 dc, (3dc,ch5, 3 dc) allin cornerlp. Repeat from * around. End with 3 dc incorner sp, ch 2, dcintop of Ist ch-3.

ROW 5—Ch 3, turn, 2 dc inlast ch-2 sp, * dc innext 10 dc, ch 2, dc in next 10 de, (dc, ch 5, 3 dc) allin corner |p. Repeat from * around. End as inlast row.

Continue with Edge, joining each p in same way to matching p on Ist Block. Make and join 2 Blocks 2x6.

Stretch and pin Scarf right-side-down in true shape. Steam and press dry thruacloth.
