Carolina Modern tablecloth or spread worked in joined 4-inch square motifs in White and Flamingo. Single size 72 x 108 inches or double size 92 x 108 inches. Originally published in Bedspreads and Tablecloths.

Pattern instructions
Motif
Starting at center with White, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
Ch 4, 27 tr in ring. Join to top of ch-4.
Drop White, attach Flamingo to same place as sl st, 2 sc in same place, * sc in back loop of next 6 tr, 2 sc in next tr. Repeat from * around (32 sc). Join.
Drop Flamingo, pick up White, sc in same place, * ch 3, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around (16 loops). Join.
Drop White, pick up Flamingo, sl st in next loop, ch 6, dc in same loop, * (ch 3, sc in next loop) 3 times; ch 3, in next loop make dc, ch 3 and dc. Repeat from * around. Join.
Drop Flamingo, pick up White, sl st in next sp, in same sp make sc, ch 3 and sc; * (ch 3, sc in next loop) 4 times; ch 3, in next sp make sc, ch 3 and sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
Sl st in next loop, in same loop make sc, ch 3 and sc; 2 sc in next loop, make a d tr around bar of first tr on first rnd, * 3 sc in next loop on rnd in work, skip next tr on first rnd, d tr around bar of next 3 tr, skip next loop on rnd in work, 3 sc in next loop, skip next tr on first rnd, d tr around bar of next tr, 2 sc in next sp on rnd in work, in next loop make sc, ch 3 and sc; 2 sc in next loop, d tr around bar of next tr on first rnd. Repeat from * around. Join.
Drop White, pick up Flamingo, sl st in next loop, in same loop make sc, ch 3 and sc; sc in each st around, making sc, ch 3 and sc in each corner loop. Join and break off.
Assembly
For Single Size Spread, make 18 rows of 27 motifs. For Double Size Spread, make 23 rows of 27 motifs Sew motifs neatly together. Block to measurements.
