Georgia Modern Bedspread Pattern
Georgia Modern bedspread or spread worked in joined square motifs in Mid Rose and Nu-Ecru. Single size 72 x 108 inches or double size 90 x 108 inches. Originally published in Bedspreads and Tablecloths.

- Milwards Steel Crochet Hook · No. 2/0 (double zero)
Pattern instructions
Motif
Starting at center with Mid Rose, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring.
12 sc in ring. Join.
Drop Mid Rose, attach Nu-Ecru to same place as sl st, ch 3, dc in same place, 2 dc in each sc around (24 dc). Join.
Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * around (12 loops). Join.
Drop Nu-Ecru, pick up Mid Rose, sl st in next loop, ch 3, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make 2 dc in same loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 5, make a 3-dc cluster in same loop, * (ch 3, cluster in next loop) twice; ch 3, in next loop make cluster, ch 5 and cluster. Repeat from * around. Join.
Drop Mid Rose, pick up Nu-Ecru, sl st in next loop, make 5 sc in same loop, * 3 sc in each of next 3 sps, 5 sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join.
Drop Nu-Ecru, pick up Mid Rose, sc in same place as sl st, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, in next sc make sc, ch 1 and sc; (ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc) 6 times. Repeat from * around. Join.
Change color, sl st in next sp, sc in same sp, ch 1, in next sp make sc, ch 1 and sc; * ch 1, sc in next sp. Repeat from * around, making sc, ch 1 and sc in each corner sp and having 1 more sc between corners on each rnd. Join. Break off at end of 9th rnd (9 sc between corners on 9th rnd).
Assembly
For Single Size Spread, make 16 rows of 24 motifs. For Double Size Spread, make 20 rows of 24 motifs. Sew motifs neatly together. Block to measurements.
