Crocheted Bulky Carriage Cover Pattern

With White chain (ch) 69, single crochet (sc) in 2nd stitch (st) from hook and in each remaining st of ch.

2nd ROW: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc.

3rd and 4th ROWS: Repeat 2nd row, drop White do not turn.

5th ROW: Attach Light Blue in 1st sc of 4th row, sc in same space, skip 2 sc, insert hook 2 rows below in corresponding st, pull up a long loop over the 2 rows and complete sc, repeat from * twice, skip 2 sts, 3 sc in corresponding sc 2 rows below, repeat from last * across row, sc in last sc, cut yarn.

6th ROW: Pick up White, ch 1, turn and work 1 sc in each sc. 7th, 8th and 9th ROWS: Ch 1, turn and work 1 sc in each sc. Repeat last 5 rows for pattern until cover measures 35 inches ending with 2 rows White.

Without cutting yarn work a row of sc all around cover working 1 sc in each sc, 1 sc in each row at sides working 3 sc in each corner, do not join. Work 2 more rows of sc all around working in back loop of sts only and working 3 sc in each corner st, slip (sl) st in next 3 sts to even row, cut yarn.

FRINGE: Cut Light Blue and White strands 12 inches long, take 2 strands of White, double in half, insert hook in 1st sc at corner, pull loop through and draw ends through loop, skip 1 sc, work a Light Blue fringe in next sc. Repeat from * across both ends of cover. Trim fringe evenly.
