Block
BLOCK—Ch 68, join with sl st to form ring.
ROW 1—Ch 1, 2 scinring,ch5,slstinlast sc forap,(3scinring, ap) 3 times, 1 scinring, join with sl stin Ist sc.
ROW 2—Ch6, trin same sc, (ch 12, 2 trin center sc between next 2 ps) 3 times, ch 6, join with dtrin top of Ist ch-6.
ROW 3—(Ch 1], dtr) 5 times insame st, * (ch 1, dtr) 4 times in one lp of next tr, ch 1, sc in center of next ch-12 Ip, (ch 1, dtr) 5 times in one Ip of next tr. Repeat from * around.
ROW 4—* Scin Ist ch-lsp onnext shell, (ch 3, sc in next sp) 9 times. Repeat from * 3 times. Join with sl stin Ist sc. Cut 6" long, thread to aneedle and fasten off on back.
ROW 5—Joinwithsc in centerlp on one shell, * ch 12, sk 2 lps, sc in next lp, ch 15, sk 2lpsin angle, sc in next lp, ch 12, sk 2 lps, sc innext lp. Repeat from * 3 times, making ch 6 and dtr for final Ip.
ROW 6—Ch1, 6sc over bar of dtr, * 6 sc in half of next Ip, (ch 3, sk 1 chof corner ch-15 lp, dtrin next ch) 3 times, ch 3,sk1ch, (trtr, ch 6, trtr) in next ch, (ch 3, sk1 ch, dtrin next ch) 3 times, ch 3, ** 6scin left half of next lp. Repeat from * around, ending at **. Join with sl stin lst sc.
ROW 7—* Ch 12, sk allscin angle, 3scinnext ch-3 sp, (2sc,ach-5p, 2 sc)in each of next 3 sps, **(2 sc, p, 4sc, p, 2Sc) in corner ch-6, (2 sc, p,2sc)in each of next 3sps, 3scinnext sp. Repeat from * 3 times. Join and fasten off.
2D Block
2d BLOCK—Repeat to ** in Row 7. 2 sc, p, 4scinnext sp, ch 2, keeping lp on hook, insert hook in corresponding Ist bp onone side of Ist Block, thread over and pull thru all los onhook, (sl st made), ch 2, slst back inlast sc on 2d Block (joining-p made), 2scinbal. of same corner sp. Join the next 3 ps on each Block in same manner. 3 sc innext sp, ch6,slstincenter of ch-12 lp on Ist Block, ch 6, 3 sc back innext ch-3 sp on 2d Block, join the next 4 ps on each Block, then complete row as for Ist Block. Join 3d Block to 2d Block and 4th Block to 3d and Ist Blocks in same manner.
Make and join 90 Blocks 5x18.
Finishing
Stretch and pin Scarf right-side-down on curtain frames. Lay frames over an ironing board or padded table. Steam and press dry thruacloth.
