Ch 24, turn.

Dc in 4th ch from hook, make 9 more dc in next 9 sts of foundation ch, make 2 dc with ch-1 between in next st, and 10 dc in next 10 sts, turn.

Ch 3 (to count as 1 dc), make dc over dc of previous row (always inserting hook only through the front loop of st) and over ch-1 make 2 dc with ch-1 between. Continue with dc over dc, turn. When 20 rows are completed, make 2 knot sts, 1 sc over ch-3 of 19th row, 2 knot sts, 1 sc over ch-3 of 17th row, until 10 pairs of knot sts and 9 sc between have been made. Ch 5, turn, make 1 knot st, sc over double loop at right of first knot of preceding row, sc over double loop at left of same knot, make 2 knot sts and continue, ending row with 1 knot st after last knot of preceding row. Ch 6, turn, sc in 1st knot of preceding row, * ch 4, sc in next knot and repeat from * to end of row.

Ch 23, dc in 4th ch from hook, make 8 more dc in next 8 sts of foundation ch, in next st make 2 dc with ch-1 between, make 9 dc in next 9 sts, turn. Continue as first section. Make 5 more sections in same way as second section. Whip sections together. Work 4 rows of sc along neckline making 26 sc for each section (182 sc in row). Then work 6 rows of dc with 6 increases to the row (make 2 dc in 1 st for an increase) equally spaced but not over one another.

Ch 20, turn. Work same as section for collar, making the 2 dc with ch-1 between in 8th ch of foundation instead of in 10th. Work 16 rows.

Ch 19, work same as 1st section, making 2 dc with ch-1 between in 7th st instead of in 8th st.

Starch and press into shape. Fasten collar at back with a button.
