MATERIALS: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro- Sheen, 1 ball of Dark Yellow... Steel Crochet Hook No. 5... A bone ring. Use thread double throughout.

Potholder

Row 1

Starting at one side, make a chain 7 inches long. 1st row: 3 tr in 5th ch from hook, ch 1, 4 tr in same place (shell), * skip 1 ch, sl st in next ch, skip 1 ch; in next ch make 4 tr, ch 1 and 4 tr (another shell). Repeat from * across, ending with 4 tr. Ch 1, turn.

Rows 2–Last

2nd row: * Make a shell in back loop of sl st (between shells); sl st in ch-1 of next shell. Repeat from * across, ending with 4 tr in last st of last shell. Repeat 2nd row until piece is square. Last row: Make 4 tr in back loop of each sl st and sl st in each ch-1 sp. Break off. Sew on bone ring.
