Motif. Ch 8, join, ch 5, trc into ring, * ch 2, trc into ring, repeat from* 9 times, ch 2, sl stinto 3rd st of ch to join (12 meshes).

2nd Row. Ch1, 3scineach mesh, join.

3rd Row. Ch1,scineachsc taking up back loop of st only, join.

4th Row. Ch4, dcinnextsc taking up back loop of st only, *ch1,dcinnextsc taking up back loop of st only, repeat from * all around, joinin 3rd st of ch.

5th Row. Ch1,2scineachmesh (72 sc), join.

6th Row. Ch4,1trcineach of thenext4sc,*ch/,skipls c,|ltrcineach of the next 5sc, repeat from * 10 times, ch 7, JOIN.

7th Row. Chl, ]scineachtrcand4sc,ch4,4scineach loop, join.

8th Row. Slsttocentersc,chl,scinsame space, * ch/, dcinnext picot,ch3,dcinsame picot, ch7,scincenter SC, repeat from * all around.

Motifs are joined together in the last row. Work to within the last 2 points, * dc into picot, ch1, sl st into shell of Ist motif, ch1,dcinto same picot of 2nd motif, ch 7, sc into centersc,ch/, repeat from *. Join 3rd motif to 2nd motif and 4th motif to Ist and 3rd motif.

Joining Motif. Fasten thread in 3 chloop, ch6,dcin same space, ch5, trc between motifs, ch 5, dcinnext 3 chspace,ch3,dcinsame space and continue around joining in 4th st of ché.

2nd Row. Ch4,|ldcinsamespace,ch3,2dcinsame space, 2dc,ch3,2dcinnext 3 chspace, repeat twice. Join and break thread.
