White Dot Potholder Pattern

Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" HAT & BAG YARN, Article 144 1 skein each White and Red. Aluminum crochet hook, size For G.
Potholder
With Red ch 24, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st of ch, drop Red, attach White (when changing color always complete last half of last st worked with next color), ch 1 to turn all rows.
Working over Red work 1 sc in each sc, drop White.
With Red, working over White, work 1 sc in 1st st, * skip 1 sc of 1st row of Red, dc over next sc of same row inserting hook horizontally under the sc (this is called a post st), skip the sc in back of st just made (White row), sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, drop Red. Always work over color not used.
With White work 1 sc in each st, drop White.
With Red sc in 1st sc, * post st over next post st (inserting hook horizontally under dc of previous row), skip the sc in back of post st, sc in next sc, repeat from * across row.
Repeat the last 2 rows 9 times, do not turn at end of last row.
Work a row of sc down side of work, working 1 sc in each row, cut yarn.
With Red work a row of sc across opposite side, then work a row of sc across top of work, cut yarn.
With White work a row of sc around entire potholder working 3 sc in each corner st, join, cut yarn.
With Red work a row of sl sts around entire potholder, join, cut yarn.
With Red cover a bone ring with sc and sew to potholder as illustrated.
