Materials: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 5 balls of Turquoise Chadwick's Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 1 ball (1 oz. ball) of Yellow for trim Bone Crochet Hook No. 6 2 yard of lining material or felt Bag clasp Use 4 threads throughout.

Starting at center, ch 51.

3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch. Working across other side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across. Mark for end of rnd.

2 sc in next 3 sc (top), sc in each sc to 1st sc of next 3-sc group; 3 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in each sc to end of rnd.

Gusset and Strap ... Starting at center, ch 1135.

3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch. Working across other side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across.

2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in each sc to next 3-sc group, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in each sc to end of rnd. Sl st in next sc. Break off.

Fold the last 6 inches (measured through center) of Bag top over as a flap. Fold remainder of Bag in half widthwise and pin an end of Gusset between sides beginning at each fold. Working through both thicknesses, make a row of sc all around sides, thus joining Gusset to Bag.

With Yellow, make a chain 100 inches long. Whip through edges around Gusset and Strap. Cut off any extra chain. Make 30 inches of chain and whip in a similar manner along edge of flap. Put clasp in place opposite flap. Line with lining material.
