Ch 57 to measure 21 inches.
1st row
1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (56 sts). Ch 3, turn.
2nd row
2nd row: * Dc in next 2 sc, yarn over, insert hook in the sc preceding last 2 sc's worked in (3rd sc back) and pull loop through, complete as for a dc. Repeat from * across, ending with dc in last sc (27 patterns). Ch 1, turn.
3rd row
3rd row: Sc in 1st dc, * skip next st, sc in next 2 dc. Repeat from * across, sc in 3rd st of turning chain (56 sts). Ch 3, turn.
Continue
Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately until piece measures 26 inches, ending with the 3rd row. Break off.
