If cover is desired without the double loop sts, work in same manner but work those rows in sc instead of double loop sts. Starting at lower edge, ch 26, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st of ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row. 1 sc in each sc, ch 1 to turn all rows.

35th Row. Work even.
Next 3 Rows. Decrease 1 sc at beginning and end of each row.
39th and 40th Rows. Decrease 2 sts at beginning and end of each row, without cutting yarn work a row of sc all around working 1 sc in each row on sides, 1 sc in each sc at top and lower edge working 3 sc in each of the 2 corners at lower edge, join in 1st sc, cut yarn.
Attach yarn in center st at corner and working on wrong side, work 3 double loop sts in same space (double loop st: wind yarn over index finger twice, insert hook in st, draw yarn through pulling yarn from under finger, drop loops from finger letting loops fall to right side of work and complete sc), 1 double loop st in each st increasing in every 6th st on shaped sides and working 3 sc in center st at lower corner, join.
Next Round. 1 double loop st in each double loop st working 3 double loop sts in center st at the 2 corners at lower edge, join.
Next 2 Rounds. 1 double loop st in each double loop st across lower edge working 3 double loop sts in center st at each corner, 1 double loop st in each double loop st on shaped sides increasing as necessary to keep work flat, join each round.
Next Round. Ch 1, turn and working on right side of cover, work 1 sc in each double loop st around curved sides, decreasing every 5th st across the straight side at lower edge, turn.
Next Row. Working around curved sides only, ch 3, skip 1 sc, sdc in next sc (sdc: yarn over hook, insert in st, pull loop through, yarn over and work off all loops at one time), * ch 1, skip 1 sc, sdc in next sc, repeat from * to same space at opposite corner, ch 3, turn.
Next Row. Sdc in next sdc, * ch 1, sdc in next sdc, repeat from * to same space at opposite corner, cut yarn. Crochet a ch about 1½ yds. long and lace through last row of meshes.
