ROW 1: With Color—Ch 8, sl st to form ring. Ch 3, 23 dc in ring (24 dc) sl st to ch-3.

ROW 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, * 2 dc in next dc * repeat from * around, sl st to ch-3 (48 dc). Fasten off.

ROW 3: Attach White—Ch 3, dc in next 7 sts, ch 5, * dc in next 8 dc, ch 5, * repeat around, sl st to ch-3.

ROW 4: Ch 3, dc in next 6 sts, ch 4, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 4, * dc in next 7 dc, ch 4, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 4 * repeat around, sl st to ch-3.

ROW 5: Ch 3, dc in next 5 sts, * ch 4, sc in ch-4 sp, ch 4, sc in next sp, ch 4, dc in next 6 sts * repeat around, sl st to ch-3.

ROW 6: Ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, * ch 3, sc in ch-4 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in next sp, ch 3, sc in next sp, ch 3, dc in next 5 sts * continue around, sl st to ch-3.

ROW 10: With White—same as Row 9.

ROW 11: With color—same as Row 9, except make ch-3 bet dc groups instead of ch 2.

ROW 12: Ch 3, dc in each st around, sl st to ch-3, turn.

ROW 13: Ch 5, dc in same st, * ch 2, skip 1 st, dc in next st * repeat 18 times, ch 2, dc in same st, turn.

ROW 15: Ch 5, dc in same sp, * ch 2, dc in next sp * repeat 21 times, ch 2, dc in same sp, ** ch 2, dc in next sp ** repeat from ** around, ending with ch 2, sl st into ch-5 at beg of row.

ROW 16: Same as Row 15, with inc in corners as before.

ROW 17: Same as Row 15, with inc in corners.

ROW 18: Ch 5, dc in next sp, * ch 2, dc in next sp * repeat 24 times. Fasten off.

CORD: With White, ch about 40 inches and draw through last row of cover: attach tassel at each end.
