Booties #2 Pattern

Ch 28, 3 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st to end, in end st of ch work 2 more sc (3 sc) continue down other side of ch working 1 sc in each st of ch, join each row.

2nd Row. Ch 1, 2 sc in each of the next 3 sc, 1 sc in each st to within the 3 end sc, 2 sc in each of the 3 end sts and work other side to correspond.

3rd Row. 2 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 1 sc in each sc at side of sole and work other end and side to correspond.

4th Row. 1 sc in each sc.

5th Row. 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each sc at side of sole and work other end and side to correspond.

6th Row. 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each st at side of sole and work other end and side to correspond.

7th Row. Same as 6th row having 9 s c between increases at each end. 8th & 9th Rows. Same as 7th row having 11 s c between increases at each end. 10th Row. 1 sc in each sc. 11th Row. 1 sc in each sc increasing at increasing points and work 1 row even.

13th Row. 1 sc in each sc picking up the front loop of st only. 14th, 15th & 16th Rows. 1 sc in each sc picking up both loops of st, do not join rows. 17th Row. Fold work lengthwise and mark the center st for toe, work 1 sc in each sc to within the 5th st of toe, * insert needle in next st, and pull loop through, insert needle in next st, and pull loop through, thread over and pull through all loops on needle thus decreasing a st, 1 sc in next sc, repeat from * twice, complete row and work 1 row even. Repeat 17th and 18th rows, break thread.

Join thread in 2nd st from center of toe, ch 3, skip center st, sc in next st, sl st in next 3 sc, ch 2, turn, sc in center of 3 ch loop, ch 2, skip 2 s c on other side of bootee, sc in next sc, sl st in next 3 sts, ch 2, turn, sc in 2 ch loop, ch 2, sc in next 2 ch loop. Ch 2, skip 2 s c on other side of bootee, sc in next sc, sl st in next 3 sc ch 2, turn, sc in loop, * ch 2, sc in next loop, repeat from *, ch 2, skip 2 s c on side of bootee, sc in next sc and continue working back and forth in same manner until there are 8 loops.

Next Row. Ch 2, turn, skip 1st loop, sc in next loop * ch 2, sc in next loop, repeat from * 4 times, ch 2, sl st in same space as previous row on side of bootee, ch 1, turn. Next Row. Work 3 sc in each loop, (21 s c) turn. Next Row. * ch 4, skip 3 sc, sc in next st, repeat from * 4 times (5 loops) ch 1, turn. Next Row. 2 sc in each loop, ch 1 turn, 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn, skip 1st st, 1 sc in each of the next 9 sts, ch 1, turn, skip 1st, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sts, continue in same manner decreasing a st each row until 1 st remains, break thread.

Join thread in 3rd st from flap of bootee, 1 sc in each sc at sides and back of bootee omitting the last 2 sts on other side, ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc and work 3 more rows of s c, ch 22, turn, 1 trc in 5th st from hook, 1 trc in each remaining st of ch and sc, join in top of 1st trc, * ch 3, skip 2 trc, sc between next 2 trc, repeat from * around top of beading, ch 4, fasten at lower section of strap to hold strap in position.

Embroider rambler roses in White or finish with small pearl buttons, tacking the flap down as illustrated.
