Butterfly Blouse Pattern #S-34

Starting at lower edge with main color, ch 13. Dc in 7th ch from hook, ch 2, skip next ch, dc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, half dc in next ch, ch 2, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in first st, (2 sc in next sp, sc in next st) 3 times; sc in last sp. Ch 7, turn.

Skip first sc, in next sc make tr, ch 2 and tr; ch 2, skip 2 sc, dc in next sc, ch 2, skip 2 sc, half dc in next sc, ch 2, sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in first st, (2 sc in next sp, sc in next st) 4 times; sc in last sp. Ch 7, turn.

Skip first sc, in next sc make tr, ch 2 and tr; (ch 2, skip 2 sc, dc in next sc) twice; ch 2, skip 2 sc, half dc in next sc, ch 2, sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in first st, (2 sc in next sp, sc in next st) 5 times; sc in last sp. Ch 7, turn.

Skip first sc, in next sc make tr, ch 2 and tr; (ch 2, skip 2 sc, dc in next sc) 3 times; ch 2, skip 2 sc, half dc in next sc, ch 2, sc in the last sc. Break off.

Attach a contrasting color to last sc made and, working around outer edge of Wing, make 3 sc in each of the next 6 sps, (10 sc in next loop, sl st in end st of next row) 3 times; 10 sc in next loop, 3 sc in each of the next 3 sps, sc in end st of each dc row on inner edge of Wing. Sl st in first sc made. Break off.

Make another Wing the same way, being careful to have sc's of Edging on right side of both Wings. Sew inner edges of Wings together.

Starting at head with contrasting color, ch 2, 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch 10, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining chain) twice; 7 sc in same ch as last 7 sc were made, ch 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook, half dc in next ch, dc in next 6 ch, half dc in next ch, sc in next ch, half dc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, half dc in next ch, sl st in first sc made on head. Break off. Sew Body to Wings.

Make necessary number of Butterflies and sew to blouse in casual arrangement.
