Make 2.

Starting at center with Purple, ch 24. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, half dc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next ch, dtr in next 15 ch, tr in next ch, dc in next ch, half dc in next ch, sc in next ch. Break off.

Now work around as follows: Attach Blue to first sc, 3 sc in same sc, sc in each st across, 3 sc in last sc; working along opposite side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across. Join with sl st to first sc.

Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 2, dc in first sc.

* Ch 5, sc in 3rd ch from hook (picot made), ch 2, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

Make 2.

Starting at center with Pink, ch 15. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, half dc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next 8 ch, dc in next ch, half dc in next ch, sc in next ch. Break off.

Now work around as follows: Attach China Blue to first sc and work as for first rnd of Large Wing. Sl st in next sc.

Sc in same place as sl st, ch 2, picot, ch 2, sc in same sc (tip of wing), * ch 2, picot, ch 2, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

Starting at center with Pink, work as for Small Wing until first row is completed. Attach Purple and repeat first rnd of Large Wing. Join and break off.

Starting at center with Pink, ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, half dc in next ch, dc in next 3 ch, half dc in next ch, sc in next ch. Break off.

Attach Purple to first sc, 2 sc in same sc, sl st in center sc of 3-sc group on Body, sc in same sc on Head, sc in each remaining st around. Join and break off.

Attach Pink to Body, sl st in back loop of each sc to joining, sl st over joining, sl st in back loop of each sc around Head, sl st over joining, sl st in back loop of each remaining sc around. Join and break off.

Sew Wings together. Sew Body in place. With China Blue, sc closely around bone ring. Join and break off.

With Pink, ch 5, sl st in 4th free picot on Large Wing preceding Body, ch 4, sl st in first ch made, ch 5, sl st in any sc on bone ring, ch 10, sl st in center of Head, ch 10, skip 10 sc on bone ring, sl st in next sc, ch 10, skip 3 picots on next wing, sl st in next picot, ch 4, sl st in 6th ch of ch-10. Break off.

Cut 3 strands of Blue, each 2 yards long. Twist these strands tightly. Then double and give them a twist in the opposite direction. Fasten ends securely. Sew to top of bone ring. Starch heavily and press.
