Cordet Bag Pattern No. 4818
Cordet bag worked in joined shell rounds with post stitches, two identical pieces joined around 12 shells, and a sl st handle. Uses Jack Frost Cordet interchangeable with Soutache, Kordette, or Plastik-Yon. Originally published in Handbags.

Pattern instructions
Bag
Ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Row 1—Ch 3, work 23 dc in ring (the ch 3 at beginning of row forms one st which makes 24 dc in all), join with a sl st.
Row 2—Ch 3, *1 dc in first st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from *, join with a sl st.
Row 3—Ch 3, *1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in first st, 1 dc around the post of the dc of previous row; repeat from *, join with a sl st.
Row 4—Ch 3, *2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc over the ch 2 of previous row, 1 dc around the post of previous row; repeat from *, join with a sl st.
Row 5—Repeat Row 4.
Row 6—Repeat Row 4.
Row 7—Repeat Row 4, having 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc instead of 2 dc.
Row 8—Repeat Row 7.
Row 9—Repeat Row 7. Work a corresponding piece. Join the 2 pieces tog. around 12 shells with a row of sc.
Handle
HANDLE—Ch 17, join with a sl st. Work 1 sl st in each ch st.
Continue working round and round in sl st for desired length. Run cable cord through handle if desired. Attach to bag as illustrated.
