Rectangular Cordet bag in crossed dc pattern stitch, folded and joined with sc, and a matching dc handle. Uses Jack Frost Cordet interchangeable with Soutache, Kordette, or Plastik-Yon. Originally published in Handbags.

Bag
Ch 63.
Row 1—Work 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook and in each remaining ch.
Row 2—Ch 3, skip 1st, * work 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, 1 dc in the skipped st, (draw the loop up loosely over the 3 dc just made), skip 1 st; repeat from * across row ending with 1 dc in last st (15 patterns).
Repeat Row 2, 29 times.
Work 1 sc in each st. Fasten off.
Finishing
FINISHING—Fold and join sides tog. with a row of sc, working a ch 1 between each sc.
Handle
HANDLE—Ch 11, work 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook.
Work back and forth in pattern as on bag for desired length. Sew handle to each end of bag.
