Daisy Time Table Doily Pattern #5

In Red and size H-6 hook, ch 2, 1 sc and 9 hdc in starting ch. Work in back lps only.

2 sc in 1st sc, (2 hdc in next st, 3 hdc in next) 4 times, 2 hdc in next. Mark end of each row.

(1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next) repeated around (a widening in every 2d st).

(Hdc in 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st) repeated around (a widening in every 3d st).

Widen in every 4th st for 2 rows.

Widen in every 5th st.

Widen in every 6th st.

Work even without widenings.

Widen in every 7th st.

Widen in every 8th st.

Repeat Row 9, ending with 3 hdc, 4 sc and 4 sl sts. Fasten off. Use the wrong side as right side of doily.

Wind White Rug Yarn around a 1/4 inch card. Cut at one edge. Fold one strand in center. Insert a hook up from underneath thru a top lp on one st in last row, catch lp and pull thru, pass ends thru lp and pull tight. Repeat in each top lp around edge.

In White Skytone and size 7 hook, ch 8, sl st in 1st st. Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.* Ch 1, sk last ch, (1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 5 dc, 1 hdc and 1 sc) all on ch, sl st in next sc on ring. Repeat from * for 12 petals. Ch 28, ** sk last ch, (1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 2 dtr, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc and 1 sl st) on ch. ** Ch 12, sk last ch, 1 sc on ch. Ch 13 and repeat from ** to **. Sk opposite leaf, sc in each ch up to flower. Fasten off. Make 8 and sew around doily just inside fringe.

BREAD AND BUTTER DOILY—(Size—9½ inches)—Repeat Rows 1 thru 6, then Row 12. Turn wrong-side-up and tie Fringe around edge.

In Skytone ch 7, sl st in 1st ch. Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc. * Ch 8, sk last ch, (1 sl st, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc and 1 sc) all on ch, sl st in next sc on ring. Repeat from * for 12 petals. Ch 20, ** sk last ch, (sl st, hdc, dc, tr, dtr, tr, dc, hdc and sl st) on ch, ** ch 10, sk last ch, 9 sc on ch, ch 10 and repeat from ** to **, sk opposite leaf, sc in each ch up to flower. Fasten off. Make 4 and sew around doily.

GLASS DOILY —(Size—6½ inches)—Repeat Rows 1 thru 3, then Row 8, ending with 3 hdc, 3 sc and 2 sl sts. Fasten off. Turn wrong-side-up and tie fringe around edge.

In SKYTONE, ch 2, 8 sc in starting ch, sl st in 1st sc.* Ch 5, sk last ch, (sl st, hdc, dc, hdc) all on ch, sl st in next sc on ring. Repeat from * for 8 petals. Ch 16, ** sk last ch, (sl st, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc and sl st) on ch, ** ch 9, sk last ch, 8 sl sts on ch, ch 8 and repeat from ** to **. Sk opposite leaf, sl st in each ch up to flower. Fasten off. Make 3 and sew around doily.

Steam and press doilies on back thru a cloth until dry.
