Glass Jacket Pattern #4036
A crocheted glass jacket with white bottom and blue-and-white striped side worked in long single crochet, originally published in Spool Cotton #226.
Materials
- Steel Crochet Hook · No. 6
Pattern instructions
Bottom
Starting at center of bottom, with White, ch 4.
1 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top st of starting chain.
Ch 3, dc in same place as sl st, 2 dc in each st around. Join.
Ch 3, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc. Repeat from * around.
Ch 3, dc in each dc around, increasing 12 dc evenly around—to inc a dc, make 2 dc in 1 dc. Join. Repeat the 4th rnd until piece measures same as bottom of glass.
Side
Drop White, attach Blue, ch 1, sc in back loop of each st around. Join.
Drop Blue, pick up White, ch 1, sc in each st around. Join.
Drop White, pick up Blue, ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * sc in next st on previous Blue rnd 3 rnds below (long sc made); sc in next st on 3rd rnd. Repeat from * around. Join.
Repeat 2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds until Side measures 3 inches, ending with the 4th rnd. Break off.
Attach Blue to a free loop on last rnd of Bottom and make sc in each st, having wrong side of sc's face center. Join and break off.
