Pattern instructions

Glass Jacket

Starting

Starting at bottom with Yellow, ch 2.

1st rnd

7 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd rnd

2 sc in each sc around (14 sc).

3rd rnd

* 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc. Repeat from * around (21 sc).

4th rnd

* 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around (28 sc).

Base and side

Now sc in each sc around, increasing 7 sc evenly around, until piece measures 2½ inches in diameter, or size desired to fit bottom of glass. Place a marker at end of last increase rnd. Now work sc in each sc around (for side) until side measures 3 inches deep. Join and break off.

Border

Border

Attach Black at top and sc in each sc around. Join and break off. Attach Black to last increase rnd marked and sc around bottom to form ridge. Join and break off.

With Black embroider numerals on Glass Jackets in cross st as desired.
