Heart Pin Pattern
Stuffed crocheted heart pin in pearl cotton with ribbon through center spaces and a bow at the top for a hat pin. Originally published in Spool Cotton #208, Fascinating Toppers.

Note
Where more than one color is used, a ball of each color is required.
Follow picture for trimmings.
Heart
Ch 10.
Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch; in next ch make sc, ch 3 and sc; sc in next 4 ch. Ch 1, turn.
2 sc in 1st sc, sc in each sc across to ch-3 sp. In ch-3 sp make sc, ch 3 and sc; sc in each sc across, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Work off 2 sc as 1 sc (dec made); work across as before to last 2 sc, then make a dec. Ch 1, turn.
(Work off 2 sc as 1 sc) twice; work across as before to last 4 sc, (work off 2 sc as 1 sc) twice.
Now work a row of sc along upper edge holding in to cup slightly.
Run a piece of narrow ribbon through the sps at center.
Make another piece like this. Sew edges together, leaving an opening. Stuff and insert hat pin. Sew up opening. Sew bow at top.
