Crocheted flower necklace, bracelet, and earrings in blue, yellow, and green with velvet ribbon, rhinestones, and snap fasteners. Originally published in Spool Cotton #267, Quick Tricks in Crochet.
Materials
- Milwards Steel Crochet Hook · No. 13 for Size 70; No. 10 for Size 30
Pattern instructions
Necklace—Flower
Starting at center with Blue, ch 8. Join with sl st to form ring.
First Petal
4 sc in ring. Ch 3, turn.
Skip first sc, dc in next 3 sc. Ch 3, turn.
Skip first dc, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc make dc in next 2 dc and in top of turning chain, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); ch 3, sl st in tip of cluster. Now, working along side of petal, (ch 3, sl st in base of next row) twice; sl st in ring. Make 4 more Petals like this. Join and break off.
Center
With Yellow, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring. 12 sc in ring. Join and break off. Sew Center to flower.
Stem
Using Green double make a chain 1/2 inches long.
Necklace
Starch flowers lightly and press. Cut a piece of velvet ribbon 15½ inches long. Make a ½ inch hem on each end. Sew flowers evenly spaced to ribbon. Sew Stems between flowers. Sew a rhinestone to Center of each Flower. Sew snap fastener in place on each end.
Bracelet
Make 5 Flowers and 4 Stems as before. Sew to remaining piece of ribbon in same manner.
Earring
Make 2 Flowers as before. Paste to Earring back.
