Lace for Alb Pattern #9052

Starting at short side, ch 149 (15 chain sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in each of next 4 ch (2 sps and 1 bl); 43 sps, dc in each of next 6 ch (2 bls). Ch 3, turn.
2 bls, 28 sps, dc in each of next 2 ch, dc in next dc (1 bl); 14 sps, 1 bl, 2 sps. Ch 5, turn.
2 sps, 1 bl, 8 sps, 1 bl, 4 sps, 1 bl, 17 sps, 1 bl, 1] sps, 2 bls. Ch 5, turn. Now, starting at 4th row, follow chart until 6 rows are completed. Ch 5, turn.
2 sps, 1 bl, 10 sps, 2 bls, 4 sps, 6 bls, 5 sps, 1 bl, 2 sps, 2 bls, 13 sps, dc in each of next 2 dc, make a foundation dc —to make a foundation dc, thread over, insert hook in 3rd st of turning ch, thread over and draw loop through; thread over and draw through 1 loop, thus making a chain st; complete as for a dc. Make 2 more foundation dc by inserting hook in ch of previous dc; then make 1 dc in the usual way (1 bl increased). Ch 5, turn. Now, starting at 8th row, follow chart until 21 rows are completed; turn.
Sl st in each of 4 dc, ch 3 and make 2 bls, 13 sps, 2 bls, é6sps, 2 bls, 5 sps, 2 bls, 3 sps, 2 bls, 1O sps, 1 bl, 2 sps. Ch 5, turn. Hereafter, starting at 23rd row, follow chart to top. Then repeat entire design 10 more times. Fasten off.
Sew the two short sides together.
