Ch 4, join to form a ring, ch 1, work 8 sc in ring, do not join this or following rounds.

2nd ROUND: Place a marker at beg of each round, work 2 sc in each sc.

3rd ROUND: Work in sc working 2 sc in every other st.

4th ROUND: Work in sc working 2 sc in every 3rd st.

5th ROUND: 2 sc in every 4th st.

6th ROUND: 2 sc in every 5th st.

7th ROUND: 2 sc in every 6th st.

8th ROUND: Working in back loops of sts only, 1 sc in each st, join in 1st sc, ch 1, turn.

9th ROUND: Working in back loops of sts, work 1 double loop st in each sc (double loop stitch: insert hook in st, winding yarn clockwise wind yarn twice around index finger, insert hook from left to right through loops on finger, pick up both loops and pull through st, drop loops from finger, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook), join, ch 3, turn. (56 double loop sts).

10th ROUND: Working through both loops of double loop st, work 1 sc in each of the 2 loops all around, join in 1st sc, ch 1, turn.

11th ROUND: Working in front loops of each sc work 1 double loop st in each sc, join in ch 1, ch 3, turn.

Repeat last 2 rounds 4 times, then repeat 10th round, join in 1st sc.

21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th ROUNDS: Do not join following rounds. Working in back loops of sts only in remaining rounds work 1 sc in each sc.

25th ROUND: Ch 1 skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from beg all around.

26th ROUND: Work 1 sc in each sc and in each ch 1 space.

27th ROUND: Same as 21st round.

28th ROUND: Ch 1, sl st in next sc, repeat from beg all around, cut yarn.

TIES: (Work 2). Ch 100, work 1 sl st in back loop of each st of ch, cut yarn. Lace through ch 1 meshes starting and ending each ch from opposite side of bag, tie ends.
